The Tax Lab is a 100% emaSwati owned and managed firm providing boutique tax and financial management education, advisory and research services and is domiciled in the Kingdom of Eswatini. The firm has been set up by a group of ambitious, enthusiastic, highly skilled and motivated professionals who have taken experience from top consulting firms and are extensively experienced in their chosen fields. With experience acquired in the tax administration, tax legal, tax advisory & training and audit & accounting, the firm has a wealth of knowledge in which it forms its foundation.

The Tax Lab’s existence is the culmination of a passionate vision of its founders having identified market gaps in general and in specialized areas of taxation (including tax education) in the Kingdom of Eswatini where little to no services are adequately provided to taxpayers.

Having created high-value relationships over the years (locally and internationally), our firm has strategic partnerships and a network of experienced experts required to best formulate solutions for its clients. The combined experience and business acumen of the founding  directors puts the firm in an ideal position to deliver world-class tax solutions to our esteemed clients.

What we do

The Tax Lab seeks to provide professional services in taxation and financial management to Emaswati.

Historically, there has been a close relationship between financial accounting and income taxation. As a general taxation rule, the reported financial income has been the basis for the computation of the taxable income, and financial reporting has become sensitive to tax considerations. To this effect, we provide financial accounting and management training and development, primarily to assist Swazi taxpayers to better manage their finances as well as taxes effectively.

The field of taxation has grown immensely and as tax administrations drive compliance with jurisdictional tax laws, the taxpayer now more than ever is required to manoeuvre these waters with technical care and diligence. The Tax Lab plays a vital role in providing focused, innovative and bespoke tax solutions to our clients through our skilled and diverse team to achieve a better tomorrow, for all of us. We also provide innovative solutions to the underlying causes of the tax errors we identify, thereby creating greater opportunities to measure and improve efficiency, develop a more strategic approach to tax, and deliver outstanding value to our clients.

Tax awareness, therefore, plays a pivotal role in boosting the country’s economic growth and the well-being of its citizens. To this effect, we are committed to shaping the future of the tax profession and continuous advocacy of the tax system for the benefit of all, through the advancement of tax knowledge to the entire emaSwati nation.
